Young Adult Ministries at the Wayne church are geared towards providing those in that post-college up to early 30's age group with opportunities for education, fellowship, mission and engagement in the church.
We gather every Sunday morning at 11:00 in the upstairs room at Gryphon Cafe (105 W. Lancaster Ave.) for Christian education. We read a text, discuss it together and learn and grow because of the insights of the text and one another. Past topics have included "Waiting for God," "What Would Jesus Occupy?" and "Bible stories we all pretend to know but actually don't."
We also meet for a Quarter Life Crisis Support Group at area watering holes on a semi-regular basis. Over drinks and appetizers, we conquer the vexing questions of emerging adulthood and also have a good time.
Questions of identity, vocation and ways of engaging with church and the community in this transitional age are central to our times together. The possibilities for this ministry are endless and Andy Greenhow, the Director of Young Adult Ministries, would love to hear from you at agreenhow@waynepres.org.
