The Front Page

Welcome to the Front Page, the digital cover of the Wayne Press.  Here we will share with you things that can't be captured in our newsletter--videos, music, color photographs--as well as articles that reflect on faith and life.

Lent 4.6

This quote is by Gerald May, a counselor and theologian.

Keep risking that your heart's desire is trustworthy.  There is always another, deeper step you can take toward more complete trust.  It will be this way until every act of every single day is simply sacred.  It may not feel like enough; sometimes it feels like nothing.  But it is sufficient because it is real.

There are times when the transforming power of God may not feel like anything.  It may feel like we are the same as we've always been.  But we trust that God is always at work in us and in the world.  Perhaps God is at work gently nudging you towards wholenss or freedom, moving you to a place of deeper trust.  You may not even realize it is so, but one day there will be this awareness that God has been there all along.  We are invited by God to move towards a more complete trust, a deeper sense of who we are as God's children.  May we accept that invitation with courage or joy, curiosity or gratitude.
