Lent 4.11

As we draw closesr to the cross, the readings for Holy Tuesday often focus on betrayal.  They remind us of how the disciples fell asleep and remind us of Peter's denial of Jesus.  This short poem helps us find our place in the stor as well.

Passionate Sins by Paul J. Willis
-Luke 22

Would I betray you with a kiss
     deny you with a word
          accuse you from your lips?
Surely I would
     and have
          and will
As the cock crows on
     in the dawn
          of grace.
