Welcome to the Front Page, the digital cover of the Wayne Press.  Here we will share with you things that can't be captured in our newsletter--videos, music, color photographs--as well as articles that reflect on faith and life.

Lent 3.20

During the season of Lent we talk a lot about repentance.  Not simply about our sinfulness and the ways we need to seek forgiveness from God, but about the ways that we turn back from God.  Repentance is a re-orientation, a process or moment in which we turn back to God and seek wholeness that only God can give.  This week we'll explore repentance.

Here is a poem entitled, "The Road to Damascus: 6," by Tania Runyan

I have sinned, I said.
I want eternal life, I said.
That was the moment.
I wanted nothing but God.
I wanted a cheeseburger.
I wanted nothing at all.
Finally, I wanted it all settled.
I folded my hands and spoke
to the carpet.  I folded my hands
and spoke to the Lord.
I woke up and felt no different.
I woke up and my life
came to an end.

Peace,
Laurie
