Welcome to the Front Page, the digital cover of the Wayne Press.  Here we will share with you things that can't be captured in our newsletter--videos, music, color photographs--as well as articles that reflect on faith and life.

Day 23, Lent

Mary Oliver is one of my favorite poets.  She writes this prayer called, "Praying."

Praying

It doesn't have to be
the blue iris, it could be
weeds in a vacant lot, or a few
small stones: just
Pay attention, then patch

a few words together and don't try
to make them elaborate, this isn't
a contest but the doorway

into thanks, and a silence in which
another voice may speak.

May you experience freedom in your prayer life today and allow space for "another voice" to speak a word of love or grace to you.
Peace,
Laurie
