Welcome to the Front Page, the digital cover of the Wayne Press.  Here we will share with you things that can't be captured in our newsletter--videos, music, color photographs--as well as articles that reflect on faith and life.

Advent, Day 13

We wouldn't do Advent justice unless we explore the Mary story a bit.  Sometimes well-meaning Protestants shy away from Mary because she seems too Catholic somehow.  But without the courage of this teenage girl to say, "let it be with me, according to your word," the Christmas story would look very different.

Mary show us incredible trust and devotion.  She reminds us that nothing is impossible with God, even if that means that your life gets turned upside down.  When she sings the Magnificat her song of praise is for a God of justice, one that will lift up the lowly.  She's a pretty remarkable teenager!

I hope you'll listen to this guided prayer Casey crafted as part of the Habits of Faith series.  In this meditation, you'll be asked to imagine you are watching the scene of Angel Gabriel speaking to Mary.

Happy listening and praying.

Peace,

Laurie
