The Front Page

Welcome to the Front Page, the digital cover of the Wayne Press.  Here we will share with you things that can't be captured in our newsletter--videos, music, color photographs--as well as articles that reflect on faith and life.

A Perfect Record

Our softball team has a perfect record!  They are 1-0 after a decisive victory yesterday.

At our new member class yesterday, one of the new members asked, "How would you suggest someone like me get involved around here?"  Casey and I both paused for a second as we went through the list of incredible things to do around here.  I suggested Second Saturday Dinner Clubs.  Casey suggested the choir or one of our awesome music groups.  I then thought of teaching adult education and Casey mentioned our work at The Common Place.  We both realized we could go on and on.

There are so many wonderful things to do around here, so many ways to learn or grow or connect with others.  Whether it's the softball team, helping with Vacation Bible School, being an usher, or countless other activities, there is a place for you in our community of faith.

It's not just the plethora of activities that make this place special, it's the purpose of these groups that matters.  We don't have programs for the sake of programs, but in all that we do we strive to bear witness to the grace of God.  In everything that happens around here, we hope that we are sharing God's love with others.  No matter where you find your place in this family of faith, we trust that God delights in the ways you share your gifts and time.

So join the softball team. Or try out a new committee.  Or volunteer to be a greeter.  Whatever you do, whenever you do it, may God be praised.
