Children in Kindergarten through Fifth Grades
learn from the Bible in Life, David C. Cook Reformed/
Presbyterian curriculum. Bible skills and mission projects are important parts of the curriculum. These classes begin this term with stories from Genesis, with lessons in making Godly choices.

Mission: Through mission projects, children learn that their gifts can make a difference in people's lives, both locally and internationally. Our Sunday School offering supports the children's mission program. Current projects include: Thanksgiving dinner boxes, Christmas gifts for foster children, and sponsorship of children through Compassion International.

The Children's Committee is a committee of the session of the church charged particularly with the children's Christian Education program. The committee is open to all who would like to help plan and implement our children's education, fellowship and mission activities. We welcome your comments and your participation. Wayne Presbyterian Church Child Safety Procedures
A completed registration/permission card, including dismissal instructions, must be on file for every child who participates in a Wayne Presbyterian Church program.

I. Dismissal from Sunday School

Children in grades 3, 4 and 5, will be dismissed with the conclusion of Sunday School hour to meet parents in another place inside the building. Unless prior arrangements have been made with the Sunday School teacher.

Children in grade 2 and younger must be picked up in the classroom by:
a.)  the parent(s) who dropped them off
b.)  an older sibling with prior written permission only or
c.)  another adult, such as a grandparent with prior written permission only Children not picked up from Sunday School by 10:45 am may be taken to Room 102 to wait for parents.

II. Dismissal procedures for all other childrens' programs will be communicated to parents by the program director and appropriate registration/permission forms kept on file.

III. In an emergency, when someone else must pick up the child, that person will check-in with the program director. If the director or teacher in charge does not know the person picking up the child, picture identification will be requested.

IV. In all cases children must be picked up by the parent INSIDE the building. Children may not wait for rides outside the building.
