Myers Tots Olympics

August 4 & 5, 9 am - 12 Noon

Jan Eberlein is hosting the annual Olympic games for the preschoolers at Myers Recreation Center, one of our CityLights partners. She'd love help from youth, children or families on either of those two days. You can meet at church and carpool into the city or meet Jan at the Myers Recreation Center on either of those mornings. Please consider joining us as we seek to understand God's Word to us as it is revealed through Scripture. Please see the brochure on the church website under Adult Ministries or Information Table in the Connector for details of the eight morning, noon and evening studies being offered ... there are lots of good choices. Pick one and come join us in the morning from 6:45 - 8 a.m. or 9:15 - 11:30 a.m., from 12 noon - 1 p.m. or in the evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m.

540 singers from the choirs of the 135 churches of the Presbytery of Philadelphia have begun rehearsals for One Joyful Choir 2010, a massed choir event at the Kimmel Center on Saturday, November 13 at 2:30 pm. This project was first undertaken in 2007. Pearl Shangkuan (Calvin College, Grand Rapids) will conduct. Commissioned work by John Ferguson (St. Olaf College). Poetry and intervening text composed and read by Martin Marty. Tickets on sale through the Kimmel Center in late August.
