The Rev. Dr. Anne Clark Duncan serves our church as Associate Pastor
for Congregational Life Ministries: Adult Christian Education,
Communication and Technology, Discipleship/New Members, Family
Ministries (including our premarital counseling and ‘caregiving'
programs), Fellowship, Men's and Women's Ministries.
Anne has an undergraduate degree in English and the Humanities and a
Masters degree in Management. She spent a number of years in book and
magazine publishing; in the financial services area as a Human Resources
Manager with the Vanguard Group; and on the faculty of Eastern
University, teaching adult students in undergraduate and graduate
classes, before starting her Master of Divinity degree program.
She graduated with an M.Div. from Palmer Theological Seminary in 2002
and served for two years as a hospital and hospice chaplain in the
Jefferson/Main Line Health System before being called to congregational
ministry and ordained, in June of 2004.
Anne had served for three and a half years as Solo Pastor of the
Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church in Delaware County when she was called
by God to Wayne Presbyterian as an Associate Pastor.
She completed her Doctor in Ministry/Marriage and Family Systems
degree in 2010 and is available to meet with parishioners for individual
or couples' counseling. She is also active in our women's ministry as
the facilitator of our Word Before Work Bible Study on Wednesday
mornings. As a trained Stephen Leader, Anne once served as pastoral
liaison to our lay caregivers in the Stephen Ministry; and as an
ordained elder, chaired the Discipleship Subcommittee of Session. She
currently serves the Philadelphia Presbytery on the Permanent Judicial
Commission.
