Whether it’s Sunday morning or midweek, there’s a place for you. Our adult ministries are largely educational or social, but if you’re the sort who prefers getting your hands dirty, consider that one of our outreach ministries might be the best place to start.
Sunday mornings
SCRIPTURE STUDIES
Need a little help in understanding scripture? Try one of these courses during the spring and learn more about the wonders of scripture.
Bible STUDIES
The Pauline Struggle Then and Now
Sal Ambrosio, Elder
Three weeks: 4/15, 4/22, 4/29
The Apostle Paul wrote his letters decades before the writing of the gospels. They are letters occasioned by “issues” that needed to be resolved in the expanding communities of [Christian] faith. We will survey selected literature and discuss topics of interest to the group. Please note that this is an intro level class…the blind leading the blind…so be prepared to contribute to the conversation!
CHRISTIAN LIVING
Everything interesting that doesn't fit in a neat little category. Whether it's a virtual trip to Israel or vibrant discussion about the current state of education in America , you'll see the Spirit come alive in ways you were blind to before.
Faith and Innovation
James Barnes, adjunct professor, Villanova University
Two weeks: 4/22, 4/29, 5/6
Not fact or fiction, but faith. Noticing what society and we accept, be it burning witches or ignoring the poor, can open possibilities for innovation. James Barnes will help us learn from the likes of Mohandas Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Desmond Tutu, Mother Teresa, William Wilberforce and Nelson Mandela how faith can be a predisposition for innovation in our own lives. This course will be 20% inspiration from a short video history and 80% a reflection for personal innovation. It will surprise you.

Throughout the week
Monday Morning Bible Study
Every Monday, 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.
Revelation is considered to be one of the most difficult books of the Bible and, yet, it is a treasure worth uncovering. It is full of mysterious symbolism as well as rich in songs of praise to God and Jesus; no other New Testament book has inspired so many joyous and victorious hymns. It is a wonderful Christ-centered book, full of worship. Most of all, it is about hope. Revelation takes us into the heart of God’s dream for our world as we journey back 2,000 years to get to know the struggling churches of the Roman Empire. It was written to bring hope to those early Christians and to give us a vision of hope today.
women's bible studies
Women’s Bible studies meet at 6:45 a.m., 9:45 a.m., and noon on Wednesdays both weekly and bi-weekly. More information can be found in the Women’s Bible Study brochure and in the event calendar.
Women in God's Service (WINGS)
Presbyterian Women is a group open to any of the women who worship at Wayne. They study together, do mission work together, and enjoy each other's company. They also hold an annual Christmas
Marketplace and "Second Time Around" sale which raise more than
$15,000 for various mission causes. They also support the "Least Coin"
collection, have an active Needlecrafter group which produces many
items for area Presbyterian homes, and work with these homes for the
elderly in other volunteer capacities. These mission activities have
the active participation of approximately 175 women.
See our WINGS brochure.
WINGS holds several programs throughout the year which attract a good
number of women. These usually have an informational or inspirational
speaker. Several circles, including a Mom's Morning Out Group (M2O) for moms
of young children, enrich the women's program. The small Groups and Circles are open to new members.
